Going to the Irons Chelsea game, so will be missing this one. Any sort of win will be fantastic news.

Unfortunatily/Fortunatily missed the game, dissapointed with the result....
Any signs of life?....passing game improving or are we still going backwards?....started to create good chances?...apart from the goal mouth scramble that lead to the goal, which could happen to any body, we were solide at the back, right??
Must be some hope...somewhere?
Im going to go ahead and say we'll beat Cambridge Tuesday..... ;D

What is there to say really, we lost to a very very average division 1 side who had about 3 efforts all afternoon and scored a horrible goal.
Defence i thought played well, Liam was not quite on his a-game, but still played alright, Janesy and Holman were our threats in the first half, Holman replaced by Belly at H/t (can only assume injury to holman?), Belly also did well when he came on and delivered some good crosses and corners, Harding very frustrating, needs to look for the simple pass more often, not sure what has happened to Sandy but he looks a different player from last year.
Again couldn't really see where a goal was going to come from, and it didn't, simple as.
Every club needs a goalscorer, Holman is improving with every performance but cannot be expected to be a sole provider of goals, we need somebody else to provide the firepower, Anaclet Odhiambo of Abingdon Utd could possibly be worth a shout?
After last years journey in the fa cup and the feeling of immense pride standing on the terrace at Burton today was the polar opposite where we left the ground feeling frustated and pissed off to be going out of the competition so early and then hearing that hellenic sides such as Old Woodstock Town (no disrespect intended) have gone through makes it feel even worse.
I'm a little bit worried for the Cambridge game, but we'll pick ourselves up and go again

I can't see Odhiambo being the solution. He was kept out of the Abingdon Utd team last year by Beechers, Faulkner and Mills so went down a league to Witney. As two of those players are now at City I can't see why he would be thought to be better than them now. Also, I'm not sure why anyone at the moment would want to leave a team at the top of the table to a team bottom of the division above
Also, as City seem to now be reliant on long balls and crosses, what is probably needed is a big, strong forward not someone fairly small and nippy. Douglas would fit back in well......
As for the Cambridge match, I hope I am wrong but it has another 0-1 written all over it.

This might sound like a strange suggestion but what about Julian Alsop, big & awkward but scores goals

Any idea why Fitchett was left out? Thought he had been granted permission to play?

I commented on this in the preview to the match. No mention in Ford Focus, and now the second game on the spin that he's been out.
