A very encouraging performance from our very depleted squad, one that certainly would have merited a point if we’d held on.
With Canice missing as well, it was easy to fear the worst before the game, but the team put up a really good fight, with Latrell standing out for us in the middle, Zac and Parker their reliable selves, Joe Wilson also doing well, but all players generally had good games.
Just a shame that the three goals we conceded were very avoidable, and think they would have been had Canice, Fleety, Ashby been in the side.
Despite getting in good attacking positions, we didn’t really test the keeper too much. At times we got into good positions but opted for an extra touch which allowed the defence to block, rather than take the shot on first time.
But I’m sure if we can put in performances like that a bit more regularly again, confidence will come flooding back at both ends of the pitch.
