A superb three points yesterday, and a perfectly executed game plan against a side that we haven’t had much luck against in recent years!
Canice, Roddy, Roberts, and the rest of the defence completely nullified the Dorking threat, and limited them to one real effort on goal all game. Otherwise, everything else was mopped up with ease.
I think especially in the away end that we all thought the longer it stayed 0-0 the more chance we’d have, and that proved the case when Sanderson brilliantly turned his man on the half way line and squared for Renny Smith. Then there was no real danger of conceding an equaliser and thankfully were able to get a second when Alfie was given the freedom of Dorking down the right.
It was a well deserved win against a very disappointing Dorking side, and Ross got it spot on taking into account recent games and past experiences against Dorking to exploit them on the break and get the win.
Good following as well, no official number given on the day, but heard murmurings of that number being over 100, which is a great turnout for us!

That was an important win. From the highlights video it looks as though City did a lot of very solid defending and then hit their hosts with two decisive counter-attacks.
Dorking's attendances appear to have shot up over the last few seasons since they left the IL: wouldn't normally have thought of that bit of Surrey as a hotbed of football.
