Well what can we really say about that.
We keep noting that we can’t seem to play for a full 90 minutes and today showed that once more and we ended up dropping points again against an average Kidderminster side
First 45 was good, we looked solid, were functional, battled for every ball and worked ourselves into good areas. A good delivery from Aaron resulted in Parker opening the scoring , he was a menace, the defenders were unable to handle him.
Second goal came from the penalty spot, a difficult one for us to see at the opposite end, sounds as though it may have been a soft decision, but they got a very soft one at our place. Parker again stepped up to score.
Second half, a different story, felt as thought the substitutions weren’t right, we chucked an extra defender on early on in the second half which was always only going to invite pressure onto us, would’ve been happier to see Alfie replace Smith , in fact starting ahead of Smith would have been my personal preference.
When they got the game to 2-1 the sinking feeling came over us again and it proved to be as they went on to score a further two.
No excuses, the second half just wasn’t good enough, also the referee was absolutely dreadful, Parker was man handled on several occasions with not even a batted eyelid.
We will keep battling , we know this group will give it their all, but that one felt like a real kick in the bollocks.
