Resurgent Nomads had a good win at the weekend at Fairford, and take on Thame United (who have several ex-City players on their books: Martin Brown, James Saulsbury...) on Wednesday night at Court Place Farm (7.45)
According to the Hellenic website Joel Meade and Adam Morris have rejoined Nomads (from Old Woodstock Town and Penn & Tylers Green repspectively.)

Wonder if any of the first team will be involved tonight?
and it's odds on Stretch scoring for Thame!

A terrific advert for the hellenic league with both clubs playing high paced passing football, several ex-Oxford city players (Saulsbury,Brown & Barisic & hat-trick man Stretch) with a point to prove, good battle between Stewart & Abbassi, Mark Bell on the comeback trail with a brace for Nomads. The Thame no.7 looked a class act & had Nomads Leftback ollie lynch chasing shadows.

It was a good match to watch I felt - Well apart from losing that is. A neutral fan would have enjoyed that match as it had goals and good football. Stretch getting a hat trick summed up what we need for the first team, some one tall up front who can hold the ball up and get on the end of crosses. I'd love to see Craig Faulconbridge back but he's playing at Woking still. But someone with that skill of holding the ball, play wide to the wingers and then get in the box to nod that winning goal in. Craig scoring twice on the 11th. www.wokingfc.co.uk/first-team/match/36/#highlights
