I see OUFC have just signed ex-City goalkeeper Matt Ingram.
There can't be many players who have appeared for City before turning out for United...though quite a few who played for United before wearing the Hoops.

John Varney played in at least one City team in the 1940s before turning pro, including United.

Forgot Bernie Harris in the 1950s: he went straight from City to Us.

Indeed, John Varney played 16 games (4 goals) for City between 1944 and 1948 (then to Hull and Lincoln) and was at United for a couple of seasons in the mid-'50s. Bernard Harris played 4 games (1 goal) on the wing for United in the 60/61 season. There may be others from that era too.
I can't think of any recent players who've moved that way though?

Nor can I. There have been, of course, players we had on loan from United who had not yet played for their first team, but went on to do so, including O'Donkor in their current squad.
