I look forward to reading it! In the meantime, just a few observations: 1. It's not often you get goals only at the very beginning and very end of a match - but Scarborough should have put the game to bed in the 88th minute. 2. Nonetheless, City deserved their point, partly on the basis of possession, partly because of the determination they showed in the closing stage after the subs came on (but why not before?) and partly because the Seadogs should not be rewarded for their strongarm tactics, especially Maxby whose main defensive skill was the bearhug! 3. McEachran was the most appropriate scorer as he worked super hard today and was, throughout, the main thorn in the visitors' flesh.

I echo that a draw was a fair result. But the Scarborough centre backs' continual wrestling, and the team tactic of diving to the ground when anywhere near contact with a City player was unedifying. The ref should have got on both of those quickly, but, instead, chose to stroll through the game at a safe distance.

Thanks Clive - an interesting and informative report as always. City are getting good at scoring late on: that's their fourth in added time so far this season.

It felt from the moment they scored that it would pan out as it did - i.e. a scrappy game in which they would do their best to disrupt and slowdown at every opportunity. Thankfully Zac found a way through right at the death. Pics here: flic.kr/s/aHBqjBRhL8

I like the shots of the defender with a good fistful of Andrews' shirt - pretty much sums the game up.

Exactly. Actually, there are two such photos here; there could have been many more, plus others with an embracing arm or two. In fact, they were so affectionate they couldn't get enough of us! But as Marks said, if refs penalised this from the start they would have to be more circumspect. Yesterday it was just blatant.
