Thoughts? There was a lot of negativity around my lot last night (including myself), but on paper it doesnt look too bad. Two losses in thirteen. OK, only eight points from four home games isn't great reading, and the inconsistency is creeping in.

I can't help but feel that Saturday's match away to Stourbridge is crucial to the season. With Farnborough away in the week, we could be three games without a win, and it'll be play-off chances near-enough over. If we win on Saturday, however, it could be a different story...

Updated after my previous post at the begining of December. Makes interesting viewing.

Updated again: Last six then - two wins, two draws & two losses. With two tough home games coming up it's important to get onto winning ways.

Always the pessimist lomax?....

I didn't think we played bad last night, same goes for most of the performances ive been to.

Alot has changed since Burton, we currently don't seem to have a consistent team, we have 3 new players/loans who need time to settle, we have lost Alexis and Pondy, both quite big losses as Alexis was just coming to form and Pondy has been arguably one of our best and most consistent players up until his travels. Steele has been injured for most of the time since Burton.

So I think a dip in form and inconsistency on that basis is to be expected.

The really unfortunate thing for us is the timing and that we don't have any time to get these players settled and to get that consistency we had before Burton if we're going to have any chance of making the play-offs.

Im going agree a win on Saturday is a must...but then id say that for every game .

:( Last night was terrible. should have beaten them with ease, if only MF picked his best starting eleven to start with. why was Gunn on the bench again? what a waste. and why play Bell&Brooks? Lyons should have been playing from the start and then bring on Brooks. Gunn on in place of Ballard and later on James should have came on and played down the middle because he is about the only player who will have a go and run at them. Come on FORDY pick what you know is your best starting eleven, get GUNNY off the bench and try to attack playing with more than just one up front.

There hasn't been too much unsettlement. Sure, Pondy and Alexis have gone, but Emery has slipped in alongside Sav & Malone alright. Puddy looks good between the sticks too. The defence is the same as it's always been.

I think MF is currently having problems knowing what to play on the wings. We have alot of strengh: Bell, Janes, Brookes, Lyon (and that's without Pondy), but it seems Fordy doesn't know what's his strongest option. I agree with you here, it takes time for it to gel.

Duggy seems to be doing alright, but we really need Steely back. He's at least a league above the SLP standard.

What i ment was that you cannot play BELLY &BROOKS at the same time against a team that is going to battle as Clevedon did you need people that are going to battle for the ball the likes of Lyons Janes Gunn

Still only lost 3 since the cup, looks good.

After the two tricky away games this week, we go into playing FIVE HOME GAMES in eight. Really time to capitalise if we're gonna make this play-off push.
