Although seen as a pretty pointless competition with our win against Banbury tuesdays tie with Thatcham is a good chance for our players to gain some furthur confidence and win another game.

Must admit I'm with you on this one. It's a game that the club could do without. Better off focusing on the league now and not risk picking up any injuries. Hopefully a chance to see some of the fringe players get a game.

A tricky one... As the 1st XI don't have a match until Nov 6th (away at Cirencester) I would say that they could do with some match practice. But since the 'full' team is seldom picked for the League Cup fixtures (I don't know why they've become so unpopular over the last few years) then that side of it is irrelevant.
Certainly a shame there's a two-week gap straight after that win.

Lomax and Padz. Your lack of football understanding knows no bounds. First you Lomax want Ford fired and now suggest the opportunity to win two games in a row in short time is of no value. Unbelieveable! Are you boys at Oxford Early Learning Centre OOps Brookes by some chance?

Hahaha, very well slagging me off behind a "guest" profile, nice work. Not that I have to justify myself to you. When did I suggest it was of no value? I said it was a good opportunity to bleed in some fringe players. I actually totally agree that it is a good opportunity to win two games in a row.
Would much rather it was a FA Trophy or Cup game but, oops, we went out of both of them at the first hurdle. And it's not like Fordy's suddenly the messiah, let's wait and see what happens. Trust me, I'm not alone in wanting to see a change in the management.
Sign up and continue posting though fella. We need some grounded contributions amongst all of mine and Padz stupidity.

If you use the same eyes to watch football as you do to read then i'd be alot of fun watching a game with you.

Good to see on the Oxford Mail website that Mike Ford says he's going to pick his strongest side for tonight (definitely not something that's usually been done for League Cup matches in the past). That'll go some way towards maintaining momentum into the next game - though it's still 11 days away, which is a pity.
