As an incorrigible anorak, and with the weather being so bad, I've finally started the long process of trying to make the history of OCFC a bit more accessible. Some of you may have stumbled on the website already, if not, do have a look at citystats.moonfruit.com/# . Any ideas for further development gratefully received. And if anyone's got any photos or other memorabilia I could use do let me know. Clearly this is going to take a long time - but, if we have another hard winter, who knows what might get done!

More results added (spread about a bit over the years just to give more idea of what was going on at different times) A 'history' of the OCFC programme up to the departure from the White House has been added. More to come. Any ideas for additions?

Certainly photos are part of the plan - though I have/can find very few of the White House.
If anyone has any photographs of the White House - or of anything OCFC-related for that matter - do, please, let me know.

There are more early pics in the Illustrated Oxford Journal - bound copies are (were?) at the Central Library.
Regarding 1988 and all that. Was anyone around at the time who can remember the details? Did a committee stay in place and draw up a plan of action? I know/think! we played for a bit at Cuttslowe Park/Roman Way. I was more into rock n roll at the time, had just lost interest in the Us, and didn't see my first City game until 1999 (V Wycombe at the Manor) Was the club still registered with the FA when it was just down to the bare bones?

Yes, I've been looking through the Oxford Journal Illustrated - plenty of photos there, but usually from the same angle. Hope to go back soon. As far as I can gather, a Committee continued after the eviction and kept the Club ticking over (via youth side(s)) until the regrowth began in the 90/1 season at Cutteslowe Park in the South Midlands League. When promotion was gained to the Prem. Div. of that League, ground-grading requirements meant a move to Roman Way. I think membership of the FA has been continuous.

Chris, the picture from 1913 showing a stand on the Whitehouse Road side is very interesting, as I did not realise it was quite so high, much higher than the long low stand I was familiar with in the 60s. It explains the 1907 picture very well, and shows this as being very new (paid for no doubt out of the Amateur Cup run revenue!). The old North Stand, which I think is the one which dates from 1909, was a very much smaller affair. The recent Oxford United book has a picture of a match at the WHG showing a tantalising glimpse of part of the original White House building, which doubled as the pavilion.

With the weather making venturing outdoors an unattractive idea, the website has had a few more additions: ...some more White House pictures; and some written history (the Season By Season Tab).

Poor weather for gardening but good for site-building... Summaries of all the Court Place Farm seasons now in place - should jog a few memories!

More material added today... Some more (early) photos and season-by-season summaries from the start of the '80s to the loss of the White House.

What dreadful weather!... So plenty of time today to add two more pages of team photos, and several seasons' scores.
Several uncertainties over one or two of the photos - any help in identification welcome.

Following a suggestion, I have added a link from the front page of the main OCFC site to the City History & Statistics site I've been putting together. It appears on the left of the Homepage under Forum and Shop. With the ongoing arctic weather quite a few more 'Season by Season' and Match Results have been added over the last few days.
As always, do please let me know of any errors you spot, or additions you'd like to see. In particular, photos or memorabilia would be most welcome.

The site is now showing up on page 2 of the Google listings for Oxford City FC. It was on page 3 a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps we should aim at promotion to page 1 and show the team the way to go!

A few more photos added recently...a scan of a 'new' oldest programme (from a kindly contributor)...and the 'Seasons' section now covers some more pre-WW1 seasons including the England v Germany International at the White House. ( citystats.moonfruit.com/#/1908-1910/4548137530 and then click on the England v Germany button)
