None of us are going, slightly too far I think. I'm off to Anfield anyway to watch the mighty Irons win their for the first time in 47 years. Would be great to get updates. I'll have a look online to see if there's a Tiverton Twitter page or something...

Racism at the match according to there fan! : tivvy.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2042From Ladysmeader (A fan of tivvy) I thought a nil nil draw was a fair result from two quite poor teams, both of which will continue to prop up the league at this rate. Unfortunately for us the best move of the game where Jee passed a beautiful long pass down the right for Ellis to collect and take to the goal line, where he crossed a delightful ball onto the head of Mortimer who headed it goal bound, brought out from their keeper the best save of the day, a reaction save to clip the ball over the bar. I heard the unsavoury comment and can confirm that it should definitely not have a place in football or British life in general. Someone amidst a group of our fans and I don't know who called the Oxford no 6 a racist word beginning with c that rhymes with spoon. The Oxford no 6 rightly got upset and asked our fan to say that to him again in the bar after the match and then see what happened (or words to that effect beginning with f) . I think if a complaint is made by their no 6 then the club should issue a full apology. Also the Club ought to remind the fans on its policy about racism. I feel guilty myself for not having the courage to confront the group of young fans and tell them that they were a disgrace. Silence in such matters is complicity. I apologise to their number 6 if he reads this.
