Personally would've had Lyonsy in ahead of Harry Harding, but then it's not my countdown and is players of '2010' not just this season, i guess lyonsy missed a chunk of early 2010. Perhaps we could list our own 12 players on here?

Having seen the list, which Lomax ran past me and a couple of others before puttin g it 'Live', the question of Lyon did come up. I personally would have liked to have Lyon in. However the feeling was, which I can't argue with that for whatever reason he still seems to be a bit-part player, which may or may not be deserved and may not nessarily be his fault. On the plus side, Lyon, apart from being a great down to earth lad (spoken to him on afew occasions) his performances do seem to be gradurally improving as the season is going on, the game against Truro, though a great team perfromance I felt Lyon was certainly a stand-out performer that day...as I said before, probably the best performance ive seen from him in the Hoops. I don't nessarily agree with some of the list and certainly didn't agree with the orginal 'draft' I got handed...but each to there own opinions.

If we're honest, there hasn't been a great deal to shout about this year.
I'm glad that it's caused a bit of debate and people don't necessarily agree with the opinions. The list was written before the Truro/Slough matches; maybe Lyonsy might have sneaked in if it was written after. I hope you can all see the reasons behind certain players omissions and inclusions, and we will have a run down of those that missed out next week.
Andy Gunn was a regular at the back in the first half of the year, thought someone might have given him a shout.... It's very easy to forget about the first half of 2010 (something like 23 league games, I think), where many players made their claims for a place in the top 12. I think Harry Harding would have been in it on the basis of that, even without his re-appearance this season.
As I say, it's good to get people talking. If I hadn't run it passed a few eager eyes before hand there might have been a few more surprises in there. I'm a sucker for controversy! Number 2 will be published later today, with the winner announced tomorrow.
Oh, and Padz, I definitely think you should do a similar list with the opinion of those on the forum. Will be interested to see how it differs.
