No win in six games, and most recently lost to two clubs that are also struggling.
Only two wins - the famous Banbury away win, and the comfortable Hemel home win - it's just not good enough at this stage.
Very unnerving that Fordy used his "Focus" article to berate a referee decision rather than "focusing" on how the side would bounce back.
I see that the Stourbridge away fixture has been taken off the fixture list on the SPL website, leaving us with two home games on the spin, taking on Swindon next weekend and Chesham on the 22nd.
Swindon have just won again, taking their winning streak to 7 games - only conceding one goal in seven victories. Chesham are now fifth. We really need to get at least three points from these two vital home games.
With twenty games to play (10 home & 10 away) and currently on 16 points, we need to be looking at a four points from every three games (at least), which would be around the 40 point mark. Drawing matches simply isn't good enough. We have to start winning matches.
Fordy, the clock is ticking. You definitely have your own team in place now. You signed these players (and got rid of others you deemed not good enough) so why aren't they performing? Poor judgement on the managers part? Are the players not motivated? If so, why not?
Stuffed by a poor Evesham team. Not good enough.

And its only 3 wins in all competitions.
A 0-3 loss at Evesham really speaks volumes. No doubt there will be the usual excuses, and a few people defending Ford eg just give him a bit more time, he works really hard, there is no-one better etc.
However, unless changes are made then City will be in the South West division next season. It is clear that there are not 4 teams worst than City at the moment, even if the squad looks good on paper. Perhaps the people running City are not worried by this, but it doesn't seem to please alot of the supporters.
I thought the prospect of a fight against relegation would encourage me to attend more frequently, as each game would be important. But you have to believe the fight has a chance of suceeding. Today's result is just too depressing.
I'll be at the Supermarine match, but they are a good team in good form and a draw would be a good result. I'm not hopeful.

Hugely dissapointed by yesterdays score line.
As a generally optermistic fan my confidence in us staying up is now wavering, but there is still time, not much, a very tough road ahead but 60 points are still on the table.
Having stood feet away from the events at Brackley really I don't blame Fordy for showing his frasturations in his notes. I think most managers would have done, but at the same time he's got to get on with refocusing the team. Which doesn't seem to have happened for Evesham.
I think Fordy will be here till seasons end now, the fans frasturations came to a head in the last two months and those in charge of the club could have acted then. I don't think they will now. A new manager brings with it his own problems, players needing to adjust to a new style, New Personality, probably new players (again!!), this means the team will need time to adjust to all that, time is now not on our side....and besides in the words of Padz....'Name a better option?'.

So let's get the maps out and find how to get to Bishops Cleeve, Wimborne, Frome etc
If City were to advertise the manager's position they would be swamped with applications from people with Conference experience.
From with the club we could have either David Savage or even Justin Merritt. There are also a number of young, ambitious manager in lower divisions who might jump at the chance
Let's face it - if Ford were to fall ill or even say join the coaching staff of Oxford United, the club would find a replacement very quickly. All businesses should have contingency plans, and it would be incompetence for the people running the club not to have a plan/ideas should the need arise to replace the manager.

I totally agree with Clive. To suggest we would struggle to replace Fordy is an insult to OCFC.
Hedges, I think that MF hit the gold when the pressure was really on. He got a couple of draws to save his neck, then that illusive first win. He bought himself time. After the Brackley game he highlighted the fact that they had "only lost won in five". Well, look at it the other way, now they not won in six.
I really can't see how it's gonna turn around. It's also very discouraging that those loyal supporters and people within the club really don't seem to fussed about the thought of City getting relegated. I don't know whether that's an attitude of "well, we're probably punching above our weight at the moment anyway....", but it doesn't seem right. The fact that it's very quiet on here in reaction to this thread (despite over 100 views), speaks volumes. It just seems like no one is really that fussed about going down....

:'(Well we went though this back in October about M/F and the results. I said then that nothing would be done and of course i was right and the same now the club seem to have accepted that we would be better off in the lower league .On Sat; it was the worst team performance i have seen in a long long time probably as bad as when we were relegated last time ,but next time,we will not bounce back as we did then ,if it is allowed to go on in this way there will only be a hand full down at CPD No good having all this work on new facilities and the 1st team being relegated

I never said wether I think M/F should or shouldn't go...
Im saying what Onlooker is saying that they had an oppotunity to get rid 2-3 months ago and it didn't happen then so, with less than half the season remaining why should it now?....finding a new manager takes time, even if they advertised it, they need to interview potential candidates and pick the right one and assuming M/F leaves/gets sacked knowing his position is under threat they would probably need a stand in until the new coach can be found/settled (Sav maybe?...even Justin?) ...and then they need to make sure they get the right person and then you still go through the same motions i previously mentioned.....the team would need to adjust to a new manager, new style and new personality etc etc.
Personally im thinking these next two games are it for us, the players, according to those that were there fell short at Evesham and thats dissapointing as in my opinion the last few games we have seen a gradural improvement in overall performance....but still lack the killer blow....goals, which win games.
Nothing has gone for us this season and Im wondering if the disallowed goal at Brackley has again destroyed the team mentally and has basically put us back to square one, M/F will certainly need to strike gold again over the next two games if we have much hope of getting out the relegation spots.

I notice from the Didcot website that their manager has resigned over the week-end. Someone who has won the FA Vase, a championship, a promotion and led Didcot to their highest league position ever, and assembled probably their most talented squad ever. But he apparently feels he can't take them any further so has stepped down.
Sounds like a man of integrity and principle.
They are still above City though....
