The Clevedon site says of Nick Dunn - A strong central midfielder who joined the club from Almondsbury Town in November 2010, having previously been at Cirencester Town and a member of Bristol City’s reserve side.

i would imagine he is a friend of Ashley Kington, both Bristol City reserves who went to Clevedon around the same time

Why oh why another defender or a midfielder surly a forward is what is required ,you only have to look at the stats; only 27 against compared with only 15 goals scored come on we will have a subs bench filled with defenders .that will bring the crowds back ,seems we are not interested in scoring goals just trying to stop the opposition for scoring

To be fair, Faulkner did a very good job up top on his own against Swindon, really put hismelf about, caused the defence alot of problems and ill go as far as saying they couldn't handle him, or at least his strength at times as it took 2 defenders to get him off the ball, leaving space for other players to move into.
Wether he has the stamina/strength or even motivation to put that that sort of shift in every game is another matter.
I think Jerome is a big loss, he manged to latch on to several balls faulks and others put through to him and leaved the swindon defence standing as Fordy played him much further forward than he did in the last couple of games.
Also I will agree, im concerned with the blunt forward line but if this new boy can make an impression similar to Kington then that can only be a good thing.

General feeling of a disappointing performance really, the first half was not good at all and they ripped us to bits for the 2 goals.
Second half was much improved but without Steele we didnt look like scoring once let alone 2 or 3
Referee was a joke, pathetic in fact but the fact is we were bullied by Chesham and need to be physically stronger in the tackle at times.

Agree with Padz, overwelming feeling of dissappointment....this might be my personal wanting to get one over on Chesham for there gobby kids at there place and the fact we had such a bad game against them earlier in the season, but I just really wnated to see us turn them over and it never looked like materalising really.
(Note, naturally those gobby kids didn't make the away trip and the away support they did bring was nice enough).
We didn't deserve to win the match but we also didn't deserve to be kicked off the field and it could have got alot more messy than it did.....speaking of which anyone know how Adam Mekki is after that glorious (yellow card worthy!!?!!?!) elbow to the face which almost knocked his head off and forced him to finally be put out of his misery on a stretcher?
Bad game all round.

He had a chipped tooth/teeth and slight concussion from it according to the doctor on saturday, they were smashing him every time he had the ball because he was a genuine threat

yeah, I think that tackle on the edge of the box in the first 10mins when he got the ball but also got half the player didn't help his cause, his card was seemingly marked after that and they took every oppotunity to kick lumps out of him. Our Physio was on 4 times just for him.
Even if he was our biggest threat, it was one of those maybe he should have been subbed for his own saftey kinda things, I mean the ref wasn't protecting the players so there is a very debatable point where the manager should step in....especially now as I assume he'll be missing the next match or two?

Looking at the table & recent results it was a tough game before a ball was kicked. After conceding an early goal even tougher. Then 2-0. And the way they were playing (especially going forward) - they looked very confident & seemed well organised - it looked like it was going to be a very depressing & deflating performance & result. However credit to the lads (& the manager) they could have dropped their heads & f**ked it off. They didn't. To be fair they all put a shift in & did their level best to get back into the game. OK, so Chesham went 2-0 up early & we were torn apart (Macca had a particularly torrid time) but we took the game to them & were much the better side in the 2nd half. Mekki impressed as did Bloss (esp 1st half) & Clarkey (who was not his usual self in 1st half). In the end I think all the lads deserve credit for their performances. Obviously it's another game gone without adding to the points total. I still think we can get out of trouble. Oh & I agree the ref was terrible. Don't think his decisions favoured any one team (having said that assault on mekki with elbow was surely a red though), both sets of supporters appeared to agree on this. Worst I've seen for some time. I know it's an impossible job but he was appalling.
