Fantastic news about Felipe. Havent been too impressed with im the few times I saw him until afew months ago, but it seems he's a rare example of someone Fordy has stuck with and seemingly is now benefiting from it as his improvement has been recently outstanding and I felt he put in a very very impressive performance on Saturday. If he can get on the score sheet afew times before seasons end and gain abit more confidence and composure in front of goal then he could be quite a player. Plus of course now as he is contract it means if he is to be our 20 goal a season man it means other clubs will have to pay City a fee for his services which im sure the club will be very happy about. Not so happy with the rest of the news particularly about Kington, Faulks is understandable, he's been inconsistent and unpridictable and his first touch lets him down too often at this level, but Kington has showed quite abit of promise and too me has suffered a dip in form recently and although other factors will no doubt be involved (travel, pay etc etc) he is a player I would have thought would benefit to being dropped to the nomads for a game or 2 to at least give him a chance to rebuild some confidence, but yet again we have just let him go like many others. Whats more I feel this a throw back to the start of the season, becuase ive been to every single home game(and several local away games) apart from the CC games and ive completily lost track of the team and who plays for us now, having signed/promoted from the Nomads..... Chris Hope, James Organ, Marvin Martin,Kynan Issac,Rob Huhes,Richard Peirson....did I miss anybody?!!?? Having said that was impressed with Marvin Martin and Peirson when he came on on saturday they look good assuming they stay in form . Also no mention of Jenson, presumably his finger is fixed then?

I never been a big fan of Faulkner and believe he sometimes deserves criticism. However I am not surprised he has left. Standing close to the dug-out for the first half on Saturday, all he received from Ford was a constant stream of criticism. No encouragement, no praise, and not even any coaching of how to be better. Just criticism and only a very small percentage of it was deserved. If I were a player I would not put up with it either.
But it is not just him. Just listen to the noise coming from the bench. Nearly always critical, and hardly any advice on what should have been done. Go listen to some of the opposition benches and spot those who can coach and those who simply shout - and then look at the league tables. City will stay up, but despite the coaching staff, not because of.
At least Barcelos looks a star of the future for a higher level and it is good for City he is on a contract
I too have lost track of all the players used this season and who is still with the club. We are on track to have at least 60 players used, and that tell you everything.

I don't know if the City Management have read these comments, or if they are generally more positive with the departure of Faulkner, but at least today the comments from the bench were generally encouraging to the City players. In particular, Felipe received alot of support, especially when he missed the open goal. However, I can imagine what the comments would have been had Faulkner missed that chance !
Steele again made a big difference and at least City look like they can score goals when he is in the side - and he and Felipe look a dangerous combination.
3 points on Tuesday and City will be very close to safety !

Felipe made the Daily Star (Don't judge me!) today in the "Soccer Lines" section (Page 56). It read "FULHAM are preparing to take non-league Oxford City's Brazilian striker Felipe Barcelos, 19, on trial."

Speaking to Felipe the other week he felt it had gone quite well and had been invited back to play in a match but that was the last thing I heard.
