Hello first post, be gentle. I'm Andy, i live a 100yds away from AFC Totton and for this season i have a season ticket there due to work commitments. I'm an Oxford United fan and was a season ticket holder at the Kass stad but like i posted above, finishing work at 2pm on a Saturday means i'm unable to watch Oxford apart from my Saturdays off. Anyhow, this was the first game i looked for when Tottons fixtures came out, City's and Brackley town anyhow due to the OUFC connections. It's an easy trip down the A34 and Tottons ground is about 3 minutes from Junction 2 of the M27. The bar is open to all serving hot food aswell. Safe drive down. Andy EDIT>>>>>> Parking wise, there's not too much at the stadium but at Calmore Roundabout there is an Industrial estate which is fine for parking in. No traffic wardens or Police will ticket you. The ground is then a 1 minute walk away.

Thanks for the tip about parking Andy, welcome to the message board.
Haven't heard alot of team news ahead of tonight's game, Ox Mail reporting that Fordy is going to make a 'couple' of changes, perhaps starts for the likes of Barcelos and Pondy tonight?

hard to tell really, he started alongside Lee Steele on Saturday but we also have Barcelos and Deabill amongst our strikers so it's anybodys guess really.

Well..... Not sure what can really be said about this one, we were well beaten and can have no arguments, AFC Totton were a very well organised side, big and strong with some pacey forwards that we had no answer for, I'd wager they'll be up there at the end of the season if they play like that week in, week out.
They could've probably had a couple more goals, Jase made a superb double stop in the first half and then Clarkey somehow blocked an effort on the line, but saying that there was a couple of goals which we definately shouldn't have conceded, we allowed ourselves to once again play "hit and hope" launching punts out of the defence in the hope that Steele and Basham would outjump 6 foot + defenders, which was never likely to happen.
We steadied the ship in the second half, the arrival of Wayne Blossom helped us out alot, but both of our prolonged spells of pressure had no end product and ended with Totton breaking against us and scoring again, Basham took far too long with his chance for a consolation and Felipe wasn't allowed the freedom on the right hand side that he gets when playing as a central striker with Steele.
It's one of those results that we really just have to write off, it's happened and thats that, we showed in the first half on Saturday that we have the players capable of getting results, but we must strive to play passing football, If we're going to lump long balls forward then we need to be using a target man to play off of.

Sadly i thought you guys looked totally disorganised, not what i'd of expected from a Mike Ford team. Whether this is down to being the beginning of the season i don't know. Despite the double save in the First half, i also thought the City keeper had a very poor game and for someone as big as him that was surprising. He dropped a few crosses/corners aswell and was fortunate a City defender was there to clear. He was definitely a weak link last night.
The less said about the kit the better, what was that all about, numbers faded, numbers missing (Bash) I'd of thought with a new season they'd of done something about that.

I suspect Padz is right: every so often one of those games comes along when everything goes wrong! We've all seen in recent weeks how well this squad can play, so draw a line under this result and let's move on: it's still very early days - and this was only the 24th time that City have lost 6-0 since 1893. On the other hand Totton have hit the ground running this season and deserve to go far - as long as they've hit a sticky patch by the time of the 'rematch'!

regarding the away kit, our previous supplier Lotto's british arm went bust mid-way through last season , which is why we now have the new Nike home kit, the away kit has been ordered but has still yet to arrive which is why we reverted back to the Joma away shirts which have unfortunately been through the wash a few too many times and are about 5 years old now!
