Could be an interesting team tonight, according to the mail Steele(injured), Fisher/Lyon(unavailable) , guessing Basham is still injured and assume Aaron Woodley is probably cup-tied?
into the squad come Mark Bell, Pablo Haysham & Zac Mceachran, the likes of Fleety,Malone and Bloss also set to feature

Forget the Banbury game I am so so sorry and up set that the club has not supported lee steel .have they forgotten that we would have been relegated last year if it was not for him ,he could have gone any where but came back to help us ,now he needs help where is it, not anywhere . I thought this was a close club that helps all . And I can not believe that the club has given in to the Oxford mail they could have fined him and suspended him that would have been enough .

Unfortunately the outcome of this was inevitable......and Steele knew it when he was down last Saturday. Personally I think its a disgrace but thats my opinion.....im still waiting for Mrs Abbot to resign and Mr Camaron to do a full apology...doesn't look like coming though On a Side note 'THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES STEELE!!!'

Lee, You must feel gutted, not everyone gets a sense of humour, and not every-one has the opportunity to support you, but we can wish you luck.
Here is wishing you lots of it.

Very disappointed in the clubs decision over Lee - not sure I can support them any longer even though I am a season ticket holder. Good luck for the future Lee you will be missed .

Lee had just over 400 followers on twitter at the time of his mistake! Majority of those are Orient,Chester and other of Lee's previous clubs. Not many of those were oufc fans due to the fact he contributed to their relegation!
Very little people knew of it for 48 hours until the local RAG put it as front page news! Just shows how poor their reporters are when all they can do is quote from websites / forums or radio interviews! Once you see all the paper sellers with their headline news, a 'diverse' city like Oxford would take this like a bull at a red sheet and those fellow Oxonian Councillors and 'do-gooders' would not let this drop!
Whilst it was a mistake of Lee to type such thing, the first person / company to blame (after Lee himself) is the Oxford Mail and the work experience journalist - must of been wetting his pants to get a job in Oxford, if only he knew before he would have to trawl twitter for news.
Secondly is OCFC for not providing support to Leeas they must have known this was going to be national news once they 'sacked' him! More could have been done to turn this into a positive by Lee learning from this harsh lesson through a club fine and ban, in addition he could of also helped the younger people in the club to ensure they don't go on to make such errors on social media in the future!
All the best for the future Lee if you do trawl these forums and no doubt OCFC will see you again soon in a Brackley or Banbury shirt soon!

Hedges - just to clarify, Oxford City are not owned by the council. The board of directors and the committee are responsible for the club and the board are the ones who made this difficult decision.

Ahh apologies for the misinformation, previous post cut down to just my opinion, just put another bad mark to my ever increasing collection against my name. Thanks for the clarification Laura. will try not to jump guns next time.

Well Hedges if you think you keep jumping the gun maybe you should apply to go on the management of the club you would fit in well their they could do with some HR skills on it
