I have updated the Events page on the main website to show some of the events we have during the first half of the year. www.pitchero.com/clubs/oxfordcityfc/events/ You will see we have lots coming up including live music, a comedy night, family bingo and the Euros. The first one coming up is in February - an 80s/90s disco - all welcome with free entry. I hope to be updating these shortly with a couple more events - once these are all finalised I will also post a full list here. As always, suggestions welcome as to what events you would like to see at City. Cheers Sharon

We are going to be holding a Comedy Night and Disco on Saturday, 24th March 2012 - details of the Acts are below.
Doors are 7.30pm, comedy show starts at 8.30pm and the show will be followed by a disco til late.
Tickets: £5.00 per person – available from either me, Jack or Andy or online via the OCFC website and WeGotTickets website (http://www.wegottickets.com/event/152579).
Acts are as follows:
Dom Woodward
From Oldham, Dominic spent 6 years working his way up the McManagement ladder at McDonalds. In 2001 he threw in the McTowel when he saw comedy as a way out of his McJob. Since then he has quickly risen to a regular performer on the professional stand-up circuit. Dom's confident and cheeky (sometimes grumpy) persona charms audiences as he paints images of the quirky people he meets. Always in demand as headliner, support and compare he performs regularly all over the UK.
He has performed live on BBC 2 and ITV and was a regular in MEN@Work The Comedy Store's topical show in Manchester.
Nominated for Best Breakthrough Act at the Northwest Comedy Awards 2004.
His set is a fast paced ride through his life and the things that annoys him most. He explains in sidesplitting detail why he hates driving, gives an invaluable lesson on how to steal from the post office and reveals all about his days behind the McDonalds counter.
"Effortless delivery" The Times "Engaging material" Manchester Evening News "Dominic has a keen eye for observational comedy and genuine funny bones." bbc.co.uk "Insightful and humorous observations." Guardian
Dave Twentyman
Effortlessly funny and quick on his feet, Dave Twentyman endears himself to the toughest of audiences as an act or compere.
Dave started his career in the Northwest and by his 11th gig was making his first appearance on live television in 'Made in the Northwest' in 2003.
After being recommended by Alan Carr he was also a regular guest on BBC Radio Manchester and XFM for a number of years.
Travelling around the UK and beyond, Dave has built a reputation as a consistently great act with his cheeky, chatty style. Delivering light hearted gags and stories you can't help relating too.
He is no stranger to music festivals too, having gigged at the Leeds Festival three years in succession to thousands of people.
Dave also writes a weekly column in the local paper in his home town of St Helens, were some suggest he probably abuses his position to constantly torment the occupants of the neighbouring town of Wigan.
Dave now also proudly features on the Blackpool Comedy Carpet (www.comedycarpet.com) which is a new tourist attraction featuring the names of comedy greats from past and present.
"Superb, naturally funny" The Hyena "Quick on his feet, reminsence of a young Johnny Vegas" The Frog & Bucket "Very funny, lovely young man" XFM Manchester
Tiernan Douieb
Tiernan has been doing the stand-up thing for a little while now. In that time that he’s graced many a stage with his beardy face, playing gigs all over the UK and abroad. Douieb’s friendly manner and fast paced gags have made him a highly sought after compere and act on the circuit.
Tiernan’s took his debut solo show ’28 Years Later’ to the Edinburgh Festival 2009 where he had several sell out crowds and great reviews for his tenuously zombie linked rant about kidulthood.
Prior to this Tiernan had taken part in a two hander with Scottish Comedian of the Year Sean Grant at the Fringe 2008, as well as successful sketch shows Tea and Cake (2007) and Tea and Cake 2: In the Gateaux (2008).
“Tiernan Douieb is a bubbly man with a generally sunny disposition, and his jokes were well-timed and genuinely funny” - Three Weeks "…Uplifting and light hearted….Douieb was energetic, fast paced and his humour was full of kitsch appeal"
- BBC “Small in stature, not in talent” – The Scotsman
