It appears to be the same problem haunting City all season, which is to beat the teams at the wrong end of the table and the ability to score goals. Where was Puddy today?? I think it is time Mike signed at least another proven goalscorer. One final comment, whereas Padz has put in a lot of time and effort into the new message board I personally do not think that the new message board is as good and does not seem to attract as many contributors.

If we're all having a moan, then F**k it...
"No one ever joins the students when they're singing" "Only 6 people went to Stourbridge" "Our home support is like a library" "Why can't we get the support we got at Burton at ever game?"
Get over it.

I don't see the issue with the new board?
It's easier to follow threads, easier to post items and gives more scope with different sub-forums and polls etc...
Maybe there aren't as many people posting as before because the majority are now actually happy with the efforts of the team and aren't moaning at that for a change?

Couldn't agree more Ash. Take a look at other clubs forums, they are proffessional with a sharp layout and easy posting options. This is a lot better than the old one.
Why does it even matter anyway?? People will start to post when they feel like they want to post, regardless of the layout of the bloody messageboard.

NOW NOW THAT IS THE REASON NOBODY POSTS ON THE SITE ANY MORE BECAUSE IF YOU HAVE AN OPINION AND THE LIKES OF YOU DO NOT AGREE YOU GET ALL SH TY AND THROW YOUR TOYS OUT OF YOUR PRAM EVERY BODY IS ENTITLED TO HAVE THIER OWN VEIWS :

It does tend to be the case that folk post more on boards when things are going wrong. The only drawback to this board is that it's more difficult to see all of the posts at a glance, but other than that it is very easy to use. The blue still hurts my eyes though. And Onlooker - you may want to get the Caps Lock and spell check on your computer seen to. As for Saturday's result - disappointing, but still a long way to go. Pleased to see that the Nomads went through - there are people in local football who will not be happy to see that quarter-final pairing. What are the odds on a Nomads win? (or on any red cards? )

ONLOOKER,

I fail to see what supporters here are griping about, moaning about lack of content on a web forum does not hold up if you are not contributing to the content yourself.
As an exiled supporter having live scores featured on this forum is an excellent way of keeping up with the score from afar which we often did not see on the old message forum and the after match reports are always very detailed and well written
Some people do like a good moan but when you have seen a club go through relegations and eviction from our home such as i have then i fail to really see what there is to complain about on or off of the pitch

Lomax and Ash, before you get on your high horses, get a few years in supporting the City before you slag of other supporters. Lomax you say there was only 6 supporters at Stourbridge, check your fact first, there was five in the group that I was with and I counted numerous others. You say people are happy with the club thats why they do not contribute to the new site, again this is your biaise opinion, I and many other past contributors do not find the new site user friendly and therefore are not using it. If it is possible check the usage of the old site and you will note it was use by a wide range of people, not only City supporters. It is only the 3rd time I have contrbuted to the new site and as long as there are people like you dominating it, I will certainly not be using again in an hurry

DavidB,
When have I slagged off someone?
All I have said is that it is quieter and maybe that it is because people are not moaning constantly? I've not pointed the finger at anyone nor named anyone specific in my posts. Onlooker had a view to which I responded with my view. That is what forums are for and people are constantly arguing over that. You've now come on and publicly slagged off myself for no apparent reason apart from stating my view.

The old forum actually had less traffic than the current one, one thing that it did have was lots of anonymous postings posting topics that could be deemed slanderous which is damaging to the club.
Fans from other clubs are encouraged on here and we already have registered members from the likes of Hemel,Truro,Witney and Didcot.
Theres nothing stopping others from starting new topics of conversation, you dont even need to be registered at present.

The other thing this forum has also is different sections so non-football related topics can be put in there.... which most of the above posts are.
can we get back to Tiverton vs city ?....ok enough said...let this topic die and bring on Leamington!

Lomax you say there was only 6 supporters at Stourbridge, check your fact first, there was five in the group that I was with and I counted numerous others. Slagging off other supporters?? erm, hardly. I was stating a few things that annoyed me about supporting City. I'll hold my hand up and say that I'm a new supporter. But so what? Does that make my opinion any less than yours? 6 fans, 11, 20? Doesn't change my point that the away following isn't that great. Where is eveyone that came to Burton? You've seen the sort of support away teams bring to our place, wouldn't it be great to bring a large, vocal support on our away trips? Anyway, that's not the point. I was making a childish post about moaners. The forum is not a big issue, we should be talking about the on-field action and, as I put it in my post you highlighted, what we can do about expanding our support off the pitch. All this bickering won't help anyone.

Anyway, enough of this. As Hedges said, bring on Leamington.
