Ford has hinted at bringing in another striker in time for tonights clash against barwell..
Oxford City could give a debut to Zac McEachran when they host Barwell in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division – a game rearranged after Saturday’s match was postponed because of a frozen pitch.
Boss Mike Ford is short of strikers with Felipe Barcelos suspended, Steve Basham struggling with an Achilles tendon, Aaron Woodley sidelined with an ankle injury and winger Michael Lyon, who can play up front, also banned.
He said: “Zac is going to be involved, but whether he starts will depend in whether I can sign another striker in time.”
Oxford City (v Barwell, home): from Mooney, Clarke, Learoyd, Ballard, Pond, Blossom, Benjamin, Martin, Malone, Fleet, Bell, Willmott, McEachran, Skendi, McDonagh.

I'd give Conor Mcdonagh a chance, he's scored so many goals for the Nomads and looked sharp in his few first team appearances.
failing that, Alan Griffin from Chippenham is the sort of striker who i think would do well for us.

Certainly Conor has done more than enough for Nomads to merit a chance for the 1st XI - plenty of strength, good acceleration, and 32 goals says it all.
Griffin is a good, bustling striker - spent ages at Chippenham, might be hard to prise free.

Agreed think Conor deserves a chance. Always thought the idea of a reserve team (if you could call the Nomads that) is that some of the players can step up and fill the gaps in the main team times of need...if this isn't a time of need not quite sure what would be.
