This is my thoughts for the boys yesterday at Leamington. Everyone of them put in a shift and got a hard fought point against a strong leamington outfit.
Kind of day that, despite criticisms from myself and others at the best of times, signs are good that we are certainly improving and moving in the right direction. It showed we were still competitive against one of the top teams in this division despite having quite a depleted squad.
The Back 4 of Clarkey, Learoyd, Walmott and Martin were Immense for the entirety of the 90 mins and Mooney pulled off some great saves, especially in the first half. Ballard and Malone worked there socks off breaking up the Leamington play while Benjamin, who has been a touch inconsistent as of late, played a blinder. Fleet had one of his best games in the City shirt and Pablo who started out wide in the first half and played most of the second half as a lone striker troubled the Leamington defense and certainly looks one for the future, even got a fluky goal which deflected over the keepers head....lady luck shone on us today!
Also impressive when he made an appearance was Bell who showed glimmers of what hes capable of and what he will bring to the team when he finally gets back to full fitness.
All in all, regardless of what the score was after the 90, couldn't have asked for any more effort from the lads and as a paying customer thats all I expect to see.

Agree with everything Hedges has said. the standing ovation by not just the city fans but brakes supporters as well was throughly deserved.
my thanks to JJ brakes fan for getting us to the ground after we got a bit lost at the Hope pub.

Yeah i'll agree, a real spiritied fighting performance from the lads, Pablo showed that he has a really bright future at the club and ran himself into the ground, we were under alot of pressure in the second half and did really well to deal with anything that was thrown at us, Jason made 3 or 4 top top saves too.
and the results were all fairly kind to us elsewhere too, Totton losing at Barwell!?!, didnt see that coming!

How many City at Leamington yesterday?

Really glad we got a point at Leamington considering the circumstances, we did plan to go to the game, but was way out of town and hard to get to from the train station, so didn't bother in the end. The non league paper report of the match sums up what everyone else has said on here, well done to all involved. Now lets try and get maximum points in our next 4 games. Did however manage to get to the Nomads game 15 minutes in, luckily hadn't missed any goals and once again it was good to see attacking promise from city's younger stars, Connor getting a hatrick again, the futures bright

i must have watched a different game, every lad on the field battled, jason made good saves, but moving forward in the right direction. we had a fluke goal and were so lucky. i would not want to watch that every week, hoof, hoof, hoof.
