Yep train is easy, 10.37 looks good option as its off peak cheapest ticket, returning on 17.55, all via didcot, about 15 min wait for connecting train. Just over an hour duration. As for score, well I have been on ytube, and pumped in chippernham or cttv and they have taken some heavy loses recently notably Brackley 5-1, well that can happen as we know, but Barwell a couple of months ago 0-3 seemed to start there bad run, after a bright start to there season, not sure why probably the old story injuries and red cards. They have a couple of handy lads up front who need to be well marshalled but they certainly look beatable, as defensivly they are prone to bad marking and lunging in,not particulary big at the back so Bash could have some fun. Just hope we stay injury free and no red cards. Prediction Chippy 0-3 City. Bash x2 Barcelos.

Is it just me or I missing something ? The first team are flying and have been all season , but hardly out on the forum , bit about nomads Hellenic ! The manager , his staff , the players have done a terrific job this season , to me it all seems just a matter of fact ? Are the club scared of the possibility of promotion ? Or is it the fact that no one cares apart from odd one or two ? Come on should be shouting from roof tops ! Can not understand it !!

Unfortunately, if you look through the messageboard, I think you will see we always get more comments when we lose rather than when we win. Usually, if there are any comments when we win, it is usually about poor support, the state of the pitch etc etc! I suspect it is just one of those things with people wanting to express their views when we have lost (as to what we should have done better... what they would have done...) but when we win, they are pleased and have no comment to make. Not sure what you mean by 'The Club' being scared by the possibility of promotion? I know these are very exciting times for all at City and personally I am very excited by the prospect of a promotion for the first team this season. I was at the Nomads game on Saturday and that was absolutely fantastic with some cracking goals scored. Thought the atmosphere both during the match and in the Clubhouse afterwards was great too - but then people will probably say I am biased! I believe these are very exciting times at the Club not only in relation to the First Team and Nomads but also in relation to the other teams at City (last count 35....). The majority of the teams, including Vets, Ladies, Boys, Girls and Casuals are doing well with most currently in the top half of their league and at least four that I know of in Cup finals! A good time to be a Hoops fan!

The silence is deafening ! I rest my case Sharon , what was ment by being scared of promotion , can the club afford it ? On and off the pitch if it happened ? Prob just worded it wrong , sorry .

I think we had this debate in the stourbridge thread, with success comes support it may take time but city supporters showed in the cup run that Our grass root support is solid, and I expect in the run in that the gates will increase, No we are not worried about success the club has some of the best facilities in non league football and has many teams in all sectors. As for the stourbridge fan suggesting it may be too soon for us to go into the Blue square, do not agree many clubs there are struggling with crowds, the club is on a sound footing and a little more support from the local press would not go amiss.

Ive been joining in on the Evostik Forums and giving us abit of a big-up there (both first team and Nomads). Im staying stum at the moment, not least becuase the team is playing well and therefore I have no reason to complain . But football is a strange game and I don't wnat to end up with egg on face by shouting from the rooftops then see us end the season with nothing, its very unlikely given our current form, but its not over till the fat person sings and its still possible we could slide from the playoffs... hopefully my mate will remember to text me the final score on saturday as the old man and myself are at a wedding Edit:- that point about the local press....Sundays oxford mail failed to even mention the chippy game and the fact we're now Second....

Yes and you can thank one of our defenders for putting in his own net in the 85th minute. Against weymouth yesterday or you would be 3rd.
