Hopefully it will be in the Oxford Mail tomorrow, as apart from Mark Bell, Felipe Barcelos, Aaron Woodley and Keith Mcloughlin it was a youth team lineup

Fully understand why Ford put out nearly all the youth team, but I hope it is the last time It is required, it was as he put it in the mail a No Brainer!

Hopefully a good experience for the youngsters despite the thrashing. was impressed with the 2 in cnetral defence particularly and thought we do have a couple of pretty decent players coming through as long as they stick to it and don't go west. having said that it was pretty much a farce. noones fault apart from the rules that county cups have priority over the league...Such a shame as I think it would have been a decent game if we could have fielded even half our first team to balance the odds abit. Speaking fo first team, It was good to see them out tonight in support of whoever took the field. Saw Clarky,Bash,Marvin, Declan and im sure others were about and thats generally great to see....despite them im sure being fully aware of the potential pending embarassment. Roll on Hemel.... P.S While im posting...Congrats to the Nomads on your promotion

there seems to be quite a lot of varied opinions and debate over last nights game. as the coach of the youth team many who played last night here are some thoughts and points. all of the nomads players and many of the youth team were already cup tied having played already in the competition. as many realised this was a real scratch team with players asked to play out of position and just " give it a go ". many would agree they did. Do United feel embarrassed by a defeat of their youth team in the same competition? we all know the answer. I look for the positives as hedges has pointed one out. a good performance by the centre backs to begin. not just them mind. Two of the the youth players liam lovingly known as crouchy and tony have been with the club since young boys with tony rogers and all should be proud of the way they represented the club the best way they could. North leigh sit leagues between nomads and our first team and last nights game gave the nomads management team in attendance a chance to see if any can make that step. we as a club have bigger fish to fry and nothing must stop any chance of conference football. we have our county cup final at carterton tomorrow if it stops raining please and we will continue what we have started. meanwhile our fingers are crossed for a result at hemel. embarrassed not me. thank you to all attending for our support. david
