Having been held to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday evening by Wantage Town, Shortwood United can no longer catch Nomads at the top of the Hellenic Premier Division.
The Two Justins have brought together a skilful, imaginative and attack-minded squad of players who have tried to play attractive football at every opportunity, and I think all who have seen them play this season would agree that they fully deserve to won the League.
In all competitions they have played 52 matches, winning 39, drawing 4 and losing 9, and they have notched up 157 goals (120 in the League). All the out-field players have got on the scoresheet at least once, with Conor McDonagh (45), Pablo Haysham (19), Ben Moses (18), James Dobson (18) and Jemaine Ferreira (11) getting into double figures.
Good luck in the season's final match at Wokingham & Emmbrook on Saturday!!
