Three points there will put us back into 2nd, and another three from the last two games will give us the runner-up spot and pole position for the playoffs. Wow!

Just an update on ground status at the moment, standing water has gone. A lot of forks put into surface by ground staff. Looking good but would not want any prolonged heavy rain!

Dont forget Tudorman that there is another West Herts Cup Final on it today (Sunday) so the pitch wont take much to make it unplayable on Monday Fingers crossed.

I think that was postponed from last week as well, or maybe its another one of the endless finals we play this time of year, its a club matter anyway I would have postponed it to next Sunday. But not my decision.

this from the Hemel forum at lunchtime: Latest news was no standing water so far so no inspection called for as yet, problem is forecast is for heavy rain later this afternoon so i would imagine an inspection will be called for at some stage. Keep an eye on the website for updates www.hemelfc.com

From the hemel forum.......
Right, Ref is running late so inspection likely to be around 18:30, initial reports are it looks playable (no standing water) but it depends if the weather deteriorates or not.

Can fully understand why theres no comments on last night's match, from drawing with the champions on Saturday to last night's performance the neutral would be struggling to know if it was the same team.
Although i can see why the sub was made, when Mark Bell went off we lost our biggest threat on their defence, too many players failed to deliver on the night and too many of our passes went into touch or straight to the opposition, Bash ran his socks off and could not be faulted whatsoever.
So we must now do things the hard way by going to Frome and winning, would it be an option to start with Pablo or Conor with Basham, we know Pablo is more than capable from his performances in the first team and Conor is a natural goalscorer, and for me you want to be bringing on somebody with pace to fight and worry the opposition defenders.
The important thing is we must get behind the team and the management and make this push to the playoffs, we know the team is capable of it so let's show it on Wednesday

Thought the oxford mail was a bit harsh on Jason, He's been excellent when fit all season for us. he did fumble the first goal but the conditions were dire and I know both sides had to cope. But they were at home, having said that the last goal was down to bad marking. I have said it before, 90 mins and whatever the ref adds on we need to be solid true we are missing pondy and wilmot, but the whole squad including the Nomads need to be encouraging the whole team and competing to get into the first team place for the final push!
