Saturday, Away at Hitchin.
Big game for us in which a win would guarantee us a 2nd place finish and home advantage in the playoffs, Hitchin are missing their main man Frendo through suspension.
Not a bad trip this one, a minibus load of us will be in the bar and behind the goal to create some atmosphere, Hitchin have always been a friendly bunch and the omens are good, we hammered them last time we visited.
Directions for those planning on driving: Hitchin Town Football Club Top Field, Fishponds Road, Hitchin, Herts. SG5 1NU
By road via the A1 Make your way up or down the A1(M) and exit at junction 8 (Stevenage North and Hitchin). Take the A602 towards Hitchin, go over two roundabouts and through lights on the one-way system following the signs for Bedford (A600).You will see a large open green to your right, at the next roundabout turn right into Fishponds Road and entrance to the ground is approx 100 yards on your left.
By road via the M1 From the M1 take junction 10 ,Luton South and Airport, and follow the A505 signposted to Hitchin. When in Hitchin turn left at the first large roundabout, and follow signs for Bedford A600 . Straight over the next set of traffic lights, at the next roundabout turn right into Fishponds Road. Entrance is 100 yards on the left.

Terrific performance today, and congrats to all the team members and managerial team for achieving the best league finish we have had since 1946 and giving the Hoops a great chance in the playoffs. Felipe was on song with two goals, the second of which was a great effort from distance, and Conor McD came on and scored with his first touch of the ball! The first of many goals for City, I hope.

Couldn't be there today myself but brilliant to read this. Second place--a great way to end a fine league campaign, even if we don't win the play-offs. Many congratulations to Mike Ford and all the players on their consistency and especially on gaining more away wins than anyone else in the division! Can't wait for the next match--come on you hoops!

Went on the train with the boy got lost at Golders Green on the way back but who cares still in dreamland, Back now safely. And looking forward to whoever visits CPF in the semis there was no fear today and the boys played with confidence some of the passing moves were conference premier class, and the city and nomad players played truely as a squad and everyone was up for it, good to see the subs wanting to get on and do there bit, Only down side was Clarkeys injury, but that comes with a marathon 3 games in seven days, pond and wilmot still out but the back up and commitment was truly inspiring, well done to Ford and Andy, and all the Superheroes ' oh Smurf included' , Oh I think the team coach will be back tomorrow minus a clutch!

An Excellent day to be a City fan!....honestly thought that was the best football we have played all season. Helped possibly by Hitchin being on holiday already, they gave us far to much space and we exsploited it superbly and could have had 6 or even 7 if it hadn't been for Jimmy Carr. Looking forward to see who we get in the playoffs

Sorry, didn't make it - despite earlier sort of promise that if results went the Cobblers way (they did!) I would..just that it was last home game and haven't renewed ST next season and all..blah blah! Anyway, well done City..hope the playoffs prove to be as good as the cup run shennanigans - barring the foggy night at CPF! Still a bit confused though; likely to be Cambridge or Stourbridge. Is this one or two legged affairs - or is the one off playoff the final?

Weather permitting it goes like this, if AFC Toton win Tuesday we play Camb City home advantage 1 leg only semi, (to be played this Thursday at moment CPF). Padz might correct me but I think this means extra time pens no replay tie must be decided on night. If AFC Toton draw no change for us. If AFC Toton lose we entertain Stourbridge at home and same rules apply. If we win our semi (yes please he says kneeling on prayer mat) Then we have home advantage over whoever gets through from the other leg in the Final. Tie to be played Bank holiday Monday 7th of May. And again final will have to be decided on day, Extra time pens. Full details of all teams involved please see The playoffs thread.
Just going off the point slightly, I did not realise Woodley was injured in pre match Warm up is there any news on how serious this is, will he be O.K. for playoffs?

Yep a one-off game - just like at Didcot 4 years ago (must be a rainy time of the year!!). Extra-time & penalties if necessary.
v Stourbridge if Totton lose; v Cambridge if Totton win/draw.
