We finally overcame our voodoo against last year's champions, Wantage Town, with a 1-0 away victory in the Over 40's, thanks to a 2nd half winner from Julio Barresi.
Paul Kimber made his long awaited debut (see picture attached).

great news for the vets, how did he go? I remember him from a few years ago he could play a bit but jesus christ he liked a drink. He played at the same time as jon ward, he used to knock about with that other lad that played, Basty? now he was some player i think he was around the same age as well. I'll never forget that semi-final he played in when he scored the winner despite blood pouring from a head wound. Great days
