Thanks for that (as a non-Twitterer etc!)....and what about the very new-look Nomads against Carterton?

Interesting to hear that Gunny was involved, had heard Alexis was back beforehand, im guessing Sherif is possibly Nabil Sharif who was at Banbury last season?
One of the trialists appears to be Jordan Tabor who was with Didcot a few years back before signing for Cheltenham and is an ex-Chelsea youth player, thats if it's definately him which from the pics appears to be

After a quick Google image search yes, I think it may have been Nabil Sharif.

There was a player called Tabor some years ago, who played for Witney, I think. Another dynasty like the Bradburys etc?

Can confirm it was Jordan Tabor currently on trial with us, will try my best to get the names of the other trailists on Tuesday at the Supermarine friendly.
Mike Allen was at the game and photographs will be online from this evening, in the meantime his match report:
Banbury United 0 Oxford City 1
Oxford City began their preparations for the forthcoming Blue Square Conference North campaign with a friendly a near neighbours Banbury United on Saturday. City manager Mike Ford took the opportunity to field different line-ups in each half giving useful workouts to ex-Oxford United midfielder Jamie Cook and Paul Stonehouse who joined recently from Bath City. Ex-Crewe Alexandra keeper Dan Platt debuted in the City goal and gave an assured display. Chances were few and far between in the opening half with Kynan Isaac being the most dangerous threat for City as he made a series of penetrating runs down the left flank. It was Isaac who came closest to scoring in the first half when he out jumped Jason Lee only to see his header flash past the upright. City's second half side took the game to Banbury as Liam Malone and Declan Benjamin took control of midfield. City's dominance paid off on 55 minutes when Michael Alexis drove low past Matt Finley from 25 yards. Paul Stonehouse was impressive on his City debut playing at wing back, where he dealt efficienty with everything Banbury threw at him, while also being at the centre of a number of City attacks. Felipe Barcelos almost doubled City's lead on 75 minutes, only to see Matt Finley make a fine save, tipping Barcelos's effort around the upright at the expense of a corner. With the likes of Steve Basham, Darren Pond, and Mark Bell yet to feature in the pre-season preparations, Mike Ford and assistant Stuart Peace will have plenty to think about as the decide on their final squad for the new season.
