Oxford City boss Mike Ford is looking for James Faulkner to repay his faith in the striker after snapping him up from Abingdon United. The hitman was expected to sign for the Premier Division side for the third time last night. He was at City last season, but left to join Aylesbury before linking up with Abingdon. "We need a bit more pace and strength up front," said Ford, who is without Mark Bell (thigh) and Jamie Brooks (groin)for Saturday's home game against Leamington. "He has been with us twice before, and I'm not normally one to have players back because usually it means they haven't been good enough. With James it's different. There is no doubting his ability, but the pressure he put on himself got him into trouble with officials and even his own teammates. He struggled in his first spell. He did great last season before he left because we had some problems. If you are effing and blinding at everyone then it sends out the wrong signals. Myself and the chairman (Brian Cox) have had a few chats with him and he understands what we want. This is his last chance with us."

Strong words from Fordy with "This is his last chance with us".... Still another striker on the books, not complaining too much as its gives the team an other option.

I think we'd all agree that james is a talented player, and will be an excellent addition to the squad. I just hope this time things work out ... ;D
