Well as this is also prediction thread I will have a go (got a few right last year). With city not able to sign Ruis from Dover, and still no pen to paper with Carter. We may see Keith, back in goal as we did when Jason was injured last year. He played very well for us,and brings a lot of experience, while we pursue a sighning! 2-2 Basham Barcelos, williems x2 for them.

I'm told we've signed the goalkeeper, Warren Carter.
I'm going for a 1-0 City victory, Darren Pond the scorer.

Yep disappointed we did not get the Dover keeper he looked excellent against Rugby. Warren looked consistant and keen, slight worry on lack of experience for big game, But Fordy has done his best under the circumstances, I would play Keith though until he gets used to the surroundings, Keith is more familier with our overall play and back Four.
Score 1-1 cooke , Rankin for them

We may play 3 up front. One thing is certain we will go for a win. Mills signing has gone down very well with us Chester fans as we know what he can do. So could add a few more to our numbers. First few games are always difficult to predict so i'll go for a close game and 2-1 to Chester. Oxford City to finish mid table.

Best of luck today OCFC from the Frozen North (actually quite pleasant today!!). Hope it's a good, close game to excite a bumper crowd.
Hope to see a few familiar faces in a few weeks at Halifax or Harrogate.

I think you mean, for us, that's what happens when you have FANS, we have no big benefactor, just what the fans put in, but when you can take 800 to Oxford and have an average home gate of around 2800 (I think) then you're going to be able to attract players. Had an enjoyable day yesterday, glad there was seating though as the beer had been flowing since around 9. We deservedly won but to your credit you did try and play football, which has never been a good tactic against us. All the best for the rest of the season!

No I do know your history and you have been through the ringer and your following I do not question, the reference was a dig at Brackley who have a millionaire chairman! Good luck to you at there wonderful stadium and another 300 home supports unless He has bought some of them aswell !
